Through our programs, we intend to do the following:
Produce productive participants who will positively participate in the continual development of their communities and society at-large.
Produce self-sufficient participants who have crossed the bridge from a state of low self-worth to a level of heightened self-esteem and self-worth through the expansion of their skill-base horizons.
Increase participants toward intellectual growth, social skills, and self-confidence.
Educate participants about sexually transmitted diseases (STD's), especially HIV/AIDS, and provide them with useful steps to take in order to help prevent the contact of such sexually transmitted diseases through sexual abstinence.
Develop the skills necessary to refrain from problematic and illegal behaviors.
Increase academic interest and achievement.
Increase cultural pride and interest.
Elevate consciousness about the effects of racism, discrimination, sexism, and violence.
Assist in developing and enhancing communication, negotiation, conflict resolutions, and violent reduction skills.
